CONCLUSION

The societal conclusion we came to was that virtual reality to this extent has its benefits and its detriments. One benefit would be that education would improve vastly, as the technology does rewire the brain to change memories, concluding that a person would also learn from these experiences. That would mean that education could happen much faster with this technology. Another benefit is that you can have life changing experiences with no risk of getting injured, as you can hike the Alps or go cliff diving. One detriment would be that the amount of loneliness would increase, as people would start spending more time in virtual reality rather than our real society. Another detriment is that the economy would be heavily affected by this technology, as there is no more need for equipment for experiences you can have with this technology, and tourism would plummet as you can experience another side of the world for the price of a droplet of OtherLife.
